Our University President Prof. Dr. Fahrettin GÖKTAŞ and his delegation visited Mongolian Ambassador to Ankara Munkhbayar GOMBOSUREN. Ambassador GOMBOSUREN said that Fırat University is being watched for its success in Mongolia.

Vice President Prof. Dr. Mehmet YILMAZ and our University TÖMER Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Süleyman Kaan YALÇIN became members of Rector Prof. Dr. Fahrettin GÖKTAŞ during his visit to the Mongolian Embassy in Ankara.

Also present at the visit were Turkish Mongolian Foundation President and also the General Directorate of Customs of the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Turkey Veysel ÇİFTÇİ and Yelikai GAJAP, a Master's Student in the Department of Contemporary Turkish Dialects and Literatures of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.

Speaking during the visit, Mongolian Ambassador to Ankara Munkhbayar GOMBOSUREN stated that Fırat University is an important research university, and that Fırat University is followed in Mongolia with its successes, and that Fırat University is one of the universities that will contribute the most in this field within the scope of Turkish-Mongolian relations.

GOMBOSUREN said that they made an effort to bring Fırat University together with important institutions and organizations in the fields of education, technology, culture and health, especially the universities within its own structure, in a very short time.

Rector Prof. Dr. Fahrettin GÖKTAŞ stated that he is ready to cooperate with Mongolia in many fields such as software, technology, metallurgy, mining, veterinary medicine, medicine, language, culture and archeology.

Emphasizing that Mongolian people prefer Fırat University to receive education in these regions, Prof. Dr. GÖKTAŞ said that they are working to spread academic cooperation with universities in Mongolia.

Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet YILMAZ, drawing attention to the importance of engineering scientific ties between the two countries, emphasized the necessity of cooperation and joint undergraduate and graduate programs.

Turkish Mongolian Foundation President Veysel ÇİFTÇİ said that Fırat University could be a strong bridge between Turkey and Mongolia. Çiftçi stated that the Turkish Mongolian Foundation provides all kinds of support to organized cooperations.

TÖMER Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Süleyman Kaan YALÇIN, touching on the importance of strong historical and cultural ties and relations between the two countries, said that teaching Turkish in Mongolia is a proud duty for them.

Our university's graduate student Yelikai GAJAP said that students at Fırat University are privileged.

At the end of the visit, Rector Prof. Dr. Fahrettin GÖKTAŞ expressed the distribution of those registered in the visitor's book.
