Objectives and Fields of Activity of the Center
Article 5 – (1) The objectives and fields of activity of the Center are as follows:
a) To teach Turkish within Turkey and abroad.
b) To open branches within Turkey and abroad in accordance with relevant legislation to promote Turkey and Turkish culture.
c) To organize Turkish preparatory courses based on certification.
ç) To organize courses to improve language proficiency based on certification.
d) To organize Turkish proficiency exams and issue certificates for those whose Turkish proficiency levels are determined as a result of these exams.
e) To work with relevant institutions and organizations within the framework of international bilateral agreements made by the Republic of Turkey on Turkish teaching; to carry out application, research, and publication activities.
f) To open preparatory training courses for teaching staff and teachers appointed by public institutions and organizations in Turkey and abroad to teach Turkish and Turkish culture.
g) To conduct research and applications on Turkish teaching methods, support and encourage ongoing studies.
ğ) To prepare programs and develop methods on the education and teaching of Turkish as a mother tongue, and to carry out joint studies with various institutions and organizations in Turkey and abroad in this regard.
h) To conduct comparative studies between the teaching of Turkish and other languages to make Turkish teaching more effective.
ı) To publish books, magazines, bulletins, reports, and brochures aimed at teaching Turkish, introducing Turkey and Turkish culture, preparing projects, creating language laboratories, and preparing films and tapes.
i) To organize application programs for students studying in the departments/programs of Turkish Language Teaching, Turkish Language and Literature, Contemporary Turkish Dialects and Literature, Turkology, Linguistics, Folklore at universities in Turkey and abroad, and to provide internships to these students; to issue certificates related to these studies when necessary.
